MAK Lubricants Enters Used Oil Recycling Deal with Mangalam
BPCL's MAK Lubricants and Mangalam Lubricants sign an MoU to strengthen used-oil collection, traceability and recycling under India's EPR framework.

MAK Lubricants of BPCL and Mangalam Lubricants Pvt Ltd have entered into an MOU to explore collaboration in strengthening India’s Extended Producers Responsibility (EPR) ecosystem for Used Lubricating Oils. Mangalam Lubricants, having over four decades of experience in the recycling ecosystem, is well positioned to leverage its extensive network of collectors and aggregators to streamline the collection and channelization of used oil generated through BPCL’s ecosystem of garages, workshops, and industrial customers.
This partnership represents an important step towards improving traceability, increasing collection efficiency, and ensuring that used oil is responsibly recycled back into valuable resources, in line with India’s circular economy and sustainability objectives, as well reflects a shared commitment to sustainability, resource conservation, and responsible lubricant lifecycle management. BPCL & MLPL teams look forward to working closely to build a robust and compliant used oil management system that delivers lasting environmental and economic benefits.
